Setup Operator
Operate CNC machines while maintaining high productivity and quality.
Perform setups on 3-axis mills and/or 2-axis lathes with minimal assistance, meeting routed setup times.
Accurate use of Calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, optical comparators
Perform basic inspection setups using bore gages, air gages, basic surface plate setups.
Demonstrate knowledge of basic math skills and metric/imperial conversions
Stay focused and on-task in a dynamic production environment.
Understand and apply knowledge of basic tooling geometry.
Read and interpret setup sheets.
Qualifications
Previous CNC machine operation experience.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers).
Knows common G codes and M functions by memory.
Basic understanding of CNC programs and machine functions.
Solid math skills, including unit conversions.
Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
Ability to follow instructions and remain focused under pressure.
