CNC Operator Full Time

CNC Operator Job Summary:

J&J Precision Technologies, LLC is an established Swiss Type CNC machining operation with focus on precision and quality part production.  Our CNC Operator position is a vital function with in our company.  We rely on this position to attend to the machines and to keep them producing quality parts.  The successful candidate will perform part quality checks on Swiss type CNC machines, make corrective dimensional adjustments on the control, and maintain the machines to keep them running smoothly.  Experience is a plus, but applicants interested in learning precision manufacturing skills, with good mechanical aptitude, a team oriented / positive attitude, and a demonstrated strong work ethic will be fully considered for training.

CNC Operator responsibilities:

–        Begin each shift by establishing steady state quality production on multiple machines, and then maintain quality part production throughout the day.

–        Attend to machines to achieve production productivity by keeping cutting fluids, machine lube, material stock levels, chip removal and other machine requirements efficiently maintained.

–        Apply problem solving skills to evaluate tool wear and other issues that may be affecting part quality and work with set-up personnel and management when problems arise.

–        Complete part inspection and job tracking documentation while following procedures according to the company ISO standards.

CNC Operator qualifications and skills:

–        High School Diploma / GED

–        Strong basic math skills

–        Experience with CNC machine control operation or demonstrated ability to quickly learn basic machine control operation

–        Ability to learn new skill levels to assist machine set-up and trouble shooting

–        Ability to operate or quickly learn how to utilize precision measuring instruments in the shop, such as micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes, etc.

–        Demonstration of reliability and a strong work ethic
